Our founding director Julian Segal, a qualified lawyer himself, has worked as a legal headhunter for many years, previously with two well-known agencies, before setting up Segal Placements.

 

Post qualifying but before working in legal search, Julian spent 8 years writing for the Chambers Legal Directories, where he helped to compile copy for Chambers UK and Chambers USA, the Who’s Who of the legal industry.

Eventually rising to Assistant Editor,  whilst there he was tasked with speaking to the leading lights of the profession, be they Managing Partners, Heads of Department or Industry specialists, on a daily basis, and where he made connections with hundreds of such people over many years. This stood him in excellent stead when moving into the field of Legal Recruitment as he was to call upon his contacts as soon as he became a consultant.

Julian remains in contact with many of these key decision makers who have, for many years, facilitated him enormously when looking to introduce his candidates to that particular Firm.
